Greenspan book tops online charts
Former Fed chairman's 'The Age of Turbulence' sells briskly upon release, topping Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble sales lists.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Alan Greenspan's new book "The Age of Turbulence" sold well upon its Monday morning release, topping best-seller lists on both Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble's Web site.
The book ranked No. 1 on both sites early Monday morning.

Greenspan is scheduled to speak Monday at 7 pm ET at the Barnes & Noble (Charts, Fortune 500) store at Union Square in New York City. He is to speak for 10 minutes and then sign copies of the book.
"We expect a very large crowd because of all the media coverage. There's huge interest in the book," said Mary Ellen Keating, a spokeswoman for Barnes & Noble.
Greenspan will also sign copies of the book at the Borders (Charts) books store in New York's financial district at noon EST.
On Amazon (Charts, Fortune 500), "The Age of Turbulence" was also the best seller in the Economic Theory section.
